DC meets over tender

Staff Reporter – MASERU

THE Democratic Congress (DC) National Executive committee (NEC) is this week expected to hold an extraordinary meeting following the youth league’s scathing attack on Finance Minister Mamphono Khaketla.

Although the purpose of the meeting is yet to be announced thepost has been told that high on the agenda will be the youth league’s allegations that Khaketla solicited a M4 million bribe from Lebelonyane Fleet Solutions.

The meeting will also discuss how to deal with three youth league leaders who fled the country last week after being interrogated by the police over the leaked tender evaluation report.

The three youths together with four directors skipped the country, saying they had credible information that the police wanted to arrest and torture them.

Youth league secretary general Letuka Chafotsa, spokesperson Lemphane Maliehe and committee member Motlalekhotso Matheso had still not returned home by last night.
