DCEO investigator suspended

MASERU – THE Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO)’s Chief Investigations Officer, Thabiso Thibeli, was suspended last night.
thepost is reliably informed that Thibeli, who received a letter of intention to suspend him on Monday, has been suspended with full pay and other benefits.
The letter says he is suspended pending investigation on allegations that some firearms of the DCEO in Thibeli’s custody went missing without justification.

He is also suspended on allegation that he removed some exhibits from the DCEO custody without proper legal channels.
He is also accused of defrauding “public revenue”.
Sources said DCEO boss, Attorney Mahlomola Manyokole, instructed Thibeli that he should not leave the countrywithout his permission. .
thepost understand that Thibeli is under strict instructions to stay away from DCEO premises.
