Chaos at the border
MASERU-The Maseru Border was shut down last night as tensions escalated after the South African police allegedly shot and killed a Mosotho man who was allegedly helping some people to illegally cross the border.
Details of what happened were still sketchy at the time of going to print last night.
Some angry Basotho were said to be burning tyres and throwing stones at the South African police. The incident is said to have happened at around 5pm last night.
By 9 pm the body was still lying on the South African side of Mohokare River.
