A weekend to remember

MASERU – Black Mix Lesotho successfully held the 2019 edition of the Corporate Challenge last weekend at Maseru Mall with the Lesotho Sky team finishing top in the mixed competition.
The Corporate Challenge started in 2013 and was initially managed by Sky Events before being handed over to Black Mix two years ago.

The main purpose of the event is team building and it also promotes friendly competition and healthy living through fitness.
Lesotho Rugby Union, 357 FM, EFS Construction and thepost completed the top five in the flagship mixed team event.

Each year the Corporate Challenge is different and more challenging.
When it began, the event comprised just 300 participants but this year’s seventh edition grew to almost 800 participants from more than 50 different corporates and organisations across Lesotho.
The event is designed to disrupt the daily mundane office routine, boost company staff morale and improve communication amongst employees.

This year Black Mix partnered with the Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation. Throughout this year’s Corporate Challenge participants had the opportunity to have their basic health vitals checked.
Participants and spectators also tested for various health issues including HIV/AIDS, cancer screening and TB.
The 8th edition of the Corporate Challenge will be held next year and Black Mix is hoping for even more entrants and even tougher obstacles.
