Bantu, Matlama clash in Maputsoe

MASERU – Econet Premier League giants Bantu and Matlama clash this weekend n Maputsoe. This game is Matlama’s first big test this season and it comes with the side in promising form.
After a difficult start, ‘Tse Putsoa’ seem to have found rhythm and have started collecting maximum points while also putting on impressive displays on the field.

Matlama marketing and communications manager Tankiso Moletsane credited head coach Mosito Matela for the team’s great response.
He said the club failed to get their desired results at the beginning of the season because they were under pressure to perform and the supporters were not making it any easier for the side.
However, after picking up a few wins, the pressure has cooled off and now the players are starting to play their natural games.
After winning two games consecutively, Moletsane says the morale is high in Matlama’s camp going into the weekend’s crucial game.
“Right now the morale is high among the players,” he said.

“The coach has brought the confidence back. Like we have always been saying, at the beginning of the season we were under pressure and the results were not coming, but now things have changed. After winning games pressure started to cool off and now we play a normal game and all credit goes to the coach,” he added.

“Of course, Bantu drew their last game, and we know they will come guns blazing into this game. They want to get back to winning and it is not going to be an easy game for us but we are ready,” he said
Moletsane also confirmed that the club’s captain Tankiso Makhutla is still nursing an injury and is doubtful for this weekend’s game. He also praised striker Nzenze Nkulu and said if the hit-man can get more chances to score it will boost his confidence.

“As a striker you always want to score and if he can get more chances to score it will boost his confidence and we need him more when he is confident and scoring. He is a good player,” Moletsane said.
