Bantu set to appoint assistant coach

MASERU – REIGNING Econet Premier League champions Bantu are set to finalise the appointment of an assistant coach this week according to the club’s spokesperson Bokang Phasumane.

The search for James Madidilane’s right-hand man has been going on for over a month now and Phasumane says the club now feels they have found the right person to join their technical team next season.

While Phasumane refused to reveal the candidate the club is eyeing, he said ‘A Matšo Matebele’ are looking at someone who will fit into the club and work hand-in-hand with Madidilane.
Bantu lost their previous assistant coach Bob Mafoso to Kick4Life last month after two successful years at the Mafeteng giants.
“We are still finalising some things and by the end of this week everything should be done,” Phasumane told thepost.

“I think the club will call a press conference and present the assistant coach together with some new players. Some players are already at the club training with us but we can’t name them just yet as we still have to finalise talks with their clubs.”

Phasumane added: “The process of appointing an assistant coach took so long because we were looking at someone who is going to fit in with the club and work with the coach and have that understanding. We were looking at different things such as where he has worked before and how he did. We wanted to take our time but now we are satisfied with our choice.”
