Black Mix takes over Corporate Challenge

Black Mix takes over Corporate Challenge

MASERU – Founder of Sky Adventures Chris Schmidt on Tuesday handed over the annual Corporate Challenge event to Black Mix Lesotho and they are the new official organisers of the event. Schmidt described the handover as emotional for him but the right thing to do.
Sky Adventures have moved their offices to Roma and Schmidt said it is hard to organise the event which is held in Maseru and said he leaves the race in capable hands.
The Corporate Challenge will be held in August at Maseru Mall and the registration opens on Friday. It is a team-building event designed to disrupt the usual office routine and boost company morale and communications amongst employees.

When it first started, Schmidt said they only had 300 participants however the event has grown over the years.
“The sale of corporate challenge to Black Mix Lesotho comes from the decision to focus on events outside Maseru by Sky Adventures and the trust built between the two companies.
“Sky Adventures is a company that specializes in multi-activity events through-out Lesotho and Southern Africa. We are now venturing into developing events outside Maseru thus the sale,” Schmidt said.

He continued that for the first time he will be able to participate in the event he started over five years ago in an effort to provide entertainment for their clients and to also build in the morale to Lesotho Sky race that happens in September. Black Mix has promised fresh challenges this year which include team games, 5 a-side, tug of war, basketball and many more.
Manisha Black, CEO of Black Mix said they excited to expand their brand with the biggest team building event in the country.

“We are excited to be given this opportunity as we were part of the event last year, corporate challenge has grown so much on us that we felt like Black Mix and Sky Adventure were one body,” she said. She also explained that this year for the first time, there will be the after party with a quiz, board games evening and karaoke. Added this year is a spectator point in the middle of the obstacle course and the games zone.
