Kick4Life signs Tale

Maseru – Kick4Life have signed former Lioli striker Thapelo Tale on a six-month deal.

The development was confirmed by the club’s football director, Chris Bullock, yesterday.  Bullock said Kick4Life are finalising the Lesotho international’s paperwork. He said Tale will add much needed firepower as the Old Europa outfit aim to end the season on a high note.  Kick4Life are third in the Vodacom Premier League, a point off the lead, and make their Lesotho National Insurance Group (LNIG) Top 8 debut this weekend. Tale began his career with Likhopo in 2007 before joining Lioli at the start of the season. The 28 year-old briefly played for FK Srem in Serbia during the 2011/12 season and is Lesotho’s all-time leading scorer in the COSAFA Cup with four goals across two tournaments.

“Yes, we have signed (Tale) on six-month deal,” Bullock said. “We are still busy with his paperwork. As you know, we are still in the process of reinforcing our squad.”
A jubilant Tale said he is looking forward to reuniting with Kick4Life mentor Leslie Notši who coached the striker at Likuena.

He also rubbished reports he disappeared from Lioli when the club was willing to extend his six-month deal insisting he alerted ‘Tse Nala’ he was leaving.
“It will not be hard for me to impress and prove myself to the coach because I have worked with him before,” Tale told thepost yesterday.  “As for Lioli, I did not disappear. I told the person I found at the office that I am leaving. It’s me who asked for a six-month contract at Lioli because I am at the stage where I can decide what I want with my career, (and) where I want to go,” he added.

Tale becomes the second Lioli player to join the ambitious Kick4Life outfit after Nkoto Masoabi made a similar move last September.
Should his paperwork be sorted in time, Tale could make his debut on Sunday against Sundawana in the LNIG Top 8. Meanwhile, Lioli striker Bafokeng Mosala, who was reported as having gone AWOL last month and later linked with a move away from Teyateyaneng, is back and has committed himself to the champions.

Mosala has been registered in the club’s squad for the 2017 CAF Champions League. Next weekend ‘Tse Nala’ host Zimbabwe champions CAPS United at Setsoto Stadium in the first leg of the sides’ preliminary round clash.
