Netball body to host conference

MASERU -The Lesotho Netball Association (LNA) will host a special conference this weekend at Lerotholi Polytechnic. The secretary general report will be presented to the members as well as the financial report.
The secretary general position has been vacant since last year and the position was occupied by the federation’s public relations officer. However, that position will now be filled at the conference.

According to the current spokesperson, Boiketlo Hanyane, the financial report will show a detailed report on how the association’s funds from sponsors and other stakeholders have been used.
Even with the special meeting on Saturday and on Sunday, league games will continue as scheduled.
“Our secretary general resigned last year, and on January we called an AGM where we appointed our PRO at the time to fill the secretary general position and then took an individual to be our PRO.

“After the decision, some members were not happy with decisions taken saying it is out of the constitution hence why we called a special meeting,” he said

“Secretary General report will entail all activities incurred e.g we took our umpire and coach for training in Malawi.
“Financial report will entail a detailed report showing how funds from sponsors were used and then we will also decide on who will be a secretary general,” he continued.
