Seema sacked

MASERU-South African outfit Chippa United have sacked Lehlohonolo Seema and replaced him with Belgian Luc Eymael.
On Tuesday, the Premier League Soccer (PSL) outfit suspended Seema pending a hearing which has led to his dismissal.

The former Likuena international was appointed in July this year after leaving Bloemfontein Celtic and has won one game out of eight this season.
Seema’s sacking does not come as a surprise as Chippa United chairman Siviwe Mpengesi is known to be trigger happy and always ready to fire coaches.

Chippa United released a statement yesterday confirming Seema’s sacking saying it was a consensus from both parties to part ways after an indifferent start to the season which sees the club sitting 14th on the log with five points after eight games. Their most recent defeat was on Sunday against Amazulu when they lost 3-1.

“We would like to wish Mr Seema well with his future endeavours, and thank him for his contribution towards the Chippa United brand,” Mpengesi said.
“Our ambition was to have an improved season in comparison to how the team has been fighting relegation in the past few campaigns. One of Mr Eymael responsibilities is a top-eight finish for this season. This where the Club Board can also decide on his longer-term contract with the team,” he said.

Efforts to get Seema to comment last night proved futile.
