Tale strikes rich vein of form

Maseru – Thapelo Tale has made a blistering to life at Kick4Life after netting another brace in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Sky Battalion which sent the Old Europa side to the top of the Vodacom Premier League.

The former Likhopo and Lioli striker made his debut against Sundawana in the Lesotho National Insurance Group (LNIG) Top 8 quarterfinals two weeks ago and scored twice to help Kick4Life secure a 5-3 win and head coach Leslie Notši couldn’t be happier.

“He is settling in well and he is enjoying himself which is what makes me happy, to see him score and enjoy football because that is the reason we brought him here,” he said.
Notši insisted it was too early to comment on the blossoming partnership between Tale and Thabiso Brown who leads the league’s scoring charts with 12 goals, but he admitted something good is brewing between the two frontmen.

Should the strikers continue their tantalising combination it would be bad news for opponents and another boost as Kick4Life continue an improbable march towards the title.
This Sunday the log leaders face Liphakoe and Tale’s goals will come in handy as the Old Europa based side look to maintain their position ahead of Bantu and Lioli.
Liphakoe are in ninth place with 19 points.

Notši said he is anticipating a difficult afternoon against the Quthing side who are unbeaten in the three league games since hiring Motebang Makhetha as coach at the beginning of January, winning the last two against Matlama and Lesotho Correctional Service. Notši said Sunday’s game is the type of clash he cherishes.

“Liphakoe is a big team and we are young team which is still growing; we cherish games like this,” he said.
“It is going to be a tough match. Liphakoe is a strong team, they play beautiful football.”
