Mokhothu hopeful for great season

As Lioli clashes with Kick4Life……………..

MASERU – Lioli assistant coach Mosholi Mokhothu says ‘Tse Nala’ have to get off to a good start when they open their Econet Premier League season against Kick4Life on Saturday.
The mouth-watering tie is the headline act of a much-awaited opening weekend of the 2018/19 league campaign.
Both Lioli and Kick4Life are viewed by many as possible title contenders and Mokhothu said the Teyateyaneng giants are raring to go despite an off-season of upheaval.
Saturday’s match will be the first in charge for the Lioli technical team of Mokhothu and head coach Lehlohonolo Thotanyana.
“We are ready for the weekend; even if we were not ready we cannot boycott the games,” Mokhothu said.

“We lost many key players that we may have needed but we had to build the team and we signed players we believe will help the team. We are satisfied with these two months we spent with the team and we are just waiting for the league matches,” the four-time league winning coach added.
Mokhothu said Kick4Life would be a tricky opponent, especially with Saturday’s game being the first for their new head coach Bob Mafoso.
“When the league starts it is not easy to tell the coaches’ strategies and formations because it might happen that they have changed; what we have to do is just to fight to get maximum points,” Mokhothu said.

“We are building a team with commitment, unity and team spirit, we have to beat Kick4Life because it is one of the teams that have grown very fast; they grow and improve every season. They are a tough team to face,” he continued.
Mokhothu also revealed Lioli have a clean bill of health for the opening weekend with charismatic goalkeeper Liteboho Mokhehle having started training this week after seven months out with injury.
